What is Noorani Qaida?

Noorani Qaida (taught alongside the Iqra Qaida at Iqra Connect) is the beginner’s book that teaches the Arabic alphabet and reading rules step by step before a child opens the Quran itself. Children who build this foundation read the Quran accurately instead of guessing.

What your child learns, step by step

1

The Arabic letters and their sounds

Pronounced from the correct place in the mouth.

2

Letter shapes: beginning, middle and end forms

How each letter changes shape depending on where it sits in a word.

3

Short vowels (harakat): fatha, kasra, damma

The small marks that give every letter its sound.

4

Joining letters into words

Putting letters together so words begin to flow.

5

Long vowels, tanween and basic reading rules

The next rules that turn sounding out into real reading.

6

First short surahs from Juz Amma, read independently

Your child reads short surahs on their own — the first real Quran reading.

Why one-to-one matters at this stage

Qaida is where pronunciation habits form. In a live 1-to-1 lesson the teacher hears every sound your child makes and corrects it on the spot, so mistakes never turn into habits. Parents may sit in, and between lessons children practise on our interactive learning platform.
